A Little More About Me!

Sydney is a Chicago-based singer, actor, dancer, choreographer, and teaching artist originally from Maplewood, New Jersey.

She moved to Chicago in the fall of 2021 to pursue her BFA in Musical Theatre at the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Sydney’s passion for theatre and dance began at the age of three, when she started taking dance classes at her preschool. She quickly fell in love with dance and soon began training in ballet, jazz, tap, and contemporary. By age eight, she was competing in dance competitions, gaining valuable experience performing in front of live audiences. Her love for storytelling grew as she began participating in musicals at her dance studio and taking private voice lessons.

Sydney’s passion and commitment to arts education started early. She began assistant teaching at her dance studio at age 12, and her passion only grew from there. Today, she continues to share her love of the performing arts as a teaching artist with Porchlight Music Theatre. When she's not performing, choreographing, or teaching, Sydney enjoys crafting, discovering new sitcoms, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
